Some examples of my motion projects in 2022
Inspiration As a motion graphics designer, I start by gathering inspiration from various sources such as social media, design blogs, and animation websites. I take note of different animation techniques, styles, and trends that I find interesting and captivating.
Conceptualization
Based on the inspiration gathered, I begin brainstorming ideas for a self-driven kinetic typography and animation project. I think about what message I want to convey and what story I want to tell through the project.
Storyboarding
Once the concept is finalized, I create a storyboard that outlines the sequence of events and messaging. I sketch out the different scenes and plan the animation and typography accordingly.
Design
Using design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I create the visual elements for the project. I carefully select the typography, color palette, and graphic elements that align with the project's concept and message.
Animating
I then animate the visual elements using software such as Adobe After Effects. I experiment with different animation techniques, timings, and effects to find the best approach that brings the concept to life.
Sound Design
I then add sound effects, music, and voice-over to the project (which are not shown on the composition reel). I work to ensure that the audio complements the visual elements and enhances the overall message.
Testing and Feedback
I test the project and share it with peers and colleagues for feedback. I make revisions based on the feedback and test the final version to ensure that it meets my standards.
Promotion
Once the project is completed, I promote it on my portfolio website and social media channels to showcase my skills and creativity to potential clients or employers.
Overall, I follow a systematic process of gathering inspiration, conceptualizing, storyboarding, designing, animating, sound designing, testing, and promoting to create an engaging and effective kinetic typography and animation project for self-promotion and professional growth.
